The Team of Translation Theory & Practice Research

Translation Theory & Practice Research Team consists of fifteen professors and researchers from both postgraduate and undergraduate English teaching and research sections whose expertise spans translation theory and practice field. The team explores the role that translation plays in cross-cultural communication and it aims to generate research findings which may enrich and develop translations theories and study methods from the perspective of literature, culture, pedagogy, sociology and linguistics, and promote translation practice as well. The team fosters an active and flourishing academic environment for translation teaching, translation practice and translation research by undertaking research projects, holding and attending academic conferences, lectures and salons. The team has made great achievements in recent years. Several academic papers have been published in academic journals, among them were PKU and CSSCI journals. More than ten translated books have been finished and six of them were awarded National and Provincial Excellent Science Works by the government.
