International Journalism and Communication (Postgraduate Program)

Guided by President Xi Jinping’s Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, International Journalism and Communication program takes advantages of majors par excellence of CQUT, including English and Teaching Chinese as a Second Language, to achieve development featuring integration of journalism and communication theories and cross-cultural communication theories. The program aims to cultivate high-level, versatile and application-oriented all-media communication professionals that are equipped with a global vision and qualified for serving the local development. Students of the program will graduate with the comprehensive capacity of strong political and ideological awareness, exhibiting the highest standards of professional ethics, mastering modern international journalism and communication knowledge and skills. The rigorous Curriculum covers an array of subjects, including international news reports, international public opinion analysis, international image communication, public diplomacy, cross-cultural communication. the rules of international journalism and communication, practices of English writing, communication, interviewing and editing, and practices of all-media international communication.
